Two text messages alleged to be from Metro Transit TCC recruiting drivers

By Crime Watch MN, Jan. 27, 2024

Crime Watch has been receiving messages for weeks alleging that illegal aliens are arriving and/or are being transported into the state of Minnesota.

A recent media report claimed that Minnesota was one of the top destinations for “migrants” accepting free tickets from other states (reported in the Star Tribune, which we will not directly link to).

We’ve now exclusively obtained what appear to be screenshots of internal text messages from Metro Transit Minnesota’s Transit Control Center (TCC) dated Friday, Jan. 26 asking for “ops” (drivers) to volunteer to operate “artic buses” (articulated buses) up to St. Cloud Airport.

The text goes on to state that drivers “MAY be used to transport immigrants from Texas back to Minneapolis for shelter.” The first text specifies that drivers would need to be available between 9 p.m. and midnight and on standby until 3 a.m.

A second text with a time stamp (redacted) from about an hour-and-a-half later listed ten employee numbers (redacted) who had supposedly volunteered for the operation. Each text also had a TCC employee ID number at the bottom, also redacted by request of the source. Drivers were instructed to pull in and wait for instructions.

A check of arrivals and departures on St. Cloud Regional Airport’s website late Friday night listed no incoming or departing flights in the overnight period described in the texts. The only listing on the website was what appears to be a regularly scheduled flight from Allegiant Air arriving at 10:50 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 27. Allegiant Air regularly services the St. Cloud Airport with flights from the Mesa/Phoenix area.

Metro Transit Minnesota is a public transportation company operated by the Metropolitan Council and receives heavy taxpayer subsidies for its operations.

Although drivers were asked to “volunteer” for the operation, that just means nobody was being scheduled against their will to participate. They are surely being paid and are likely receiving overtime pay for the hours worked.

The use of taxpayer subsidized transportation to aid in human trafficking of illegal aliens, not to mention engaging and encouraging employees to conspire to commit a federal felony should concern everyone.
