Minneapolis: Stolen vehicle obliterates bus stop in crash
By Crime Watch MN, Nov. 23, 2022
A stolen vehicle obliterated a bus shelter at East Franklin Avenue and Nicollet Avenue Wednesday night.
Six juvenile females fled from the stolen vehicle after it sideswiped another vehicle before crashing into the bus shelter, a source told Crime Watch. Dispatch audio confirmed the vehicle the juveniles fled from had previously been stolen out of Minneapolis.
Information from a source indicated that one of the fleeing suspects may have been injured:
“This car sideswiped an SUV on Franklin at 1st Ave South and then crashed into the bus stop outside CVS. 6 juvenile females bailed and ran, one of them probably injured, being dragged away from the crash by two of her friends.”
It wasn’t immediately clear if anyone in the other vehicle was injured.
Minneapolis Fire responders requested a street sweeper to the location for a large amount of glass that needed to be swept from the roadway.
