Minneapolis pursuit of a carjacked vehicle ends in a crash

A Minneapolis police pursuit of a previously carjacked vehicle went through several neighborhoods Tuesday night before the suspect vehicle crashed on University Avenue Southeast just west of 35W.
We first reported the pursuit was underway about 6:23 p.m. when police aired that they were near 26th and Hiawatha Avenue. Audio indicated the pursuit began near East 28th Street and 14th Avenue South.
The pursuit reportedly traveled onto I94 from south Minneapolis for a brief time and then into Cedar-Riverside where the suspect vehicle reportedly crashed into a building near 7th and Cedar Avenue but kept going. The pursuit then entered into the 2nd Precinct area of southeast Minneapolis.
At one point, police aired that they were going by the Quarry shopping center and were headed toward 35W from Johnson Street Northeast.
At 6:30 p.m., police aired that the vehicle exited westbound at University Avenue Southeast (which is a one-way eastbound). Police quickly aired that the vehicle had crashed on University Avenue and all suspects were apprehended.
