Midweek, midday shooting homicide at Minneapolis bus stop

A man is dead following a midday shooting homicide at a Minneapolis bus stop on Wednesday.
Crime Watch posted about the shooting which occurred just before 1 p.m. at a bus stop at 24th and Nicollet Avenue, according to dispatch audio.
The victim was reported to have been shot in the head, and when police arrived, they aired that CPR was being performed. Very shortly thereafter, an officer aired that the victim was deceased. A crime scene was taped off and traffic was diverted in the area.
A K9 tracked the area for 30 to 40 minutes but did not turn up the suspect who was described as a white male in his 50s, about 6ft tall, unshaven with a larger nose. He was reported to be wearing a black winter cap and black cloth jacket and carrying a backpack.
MPD issued a statement saying the victim and suspect may have been known to each other.
