By Crime Watch MN, Sept. 2, 2022

Four people were shot at Merwin Liquors in north Minneapolis Friday night.

We posted just after 7 p.m. that police were dispatched to a report of a shooting at Merwin Liquors at West Broadway and Lyndale Avenue North. Police arrived and immediately found three victims. A fourth was located a short time later, according to dispatch audio.

Two victims were transported to North Memorial Hospital and two were transported to HCMC in downtown Minneapolis.

Police requested the dispatcher to notify both hospitals that crowds may be showing up.

Information about the conditions of the four victims wasn’t immediately available, but one 22-year-old female was transported to the hospital with multiple gunshot wounds to her ankle, abdomen and hip. Another 29-year-old male was transported with a gunshot wound to the buttocks, and police reported at the scene that they were applying a tourniquet to one victim.

No suspect information was aired at the time of the shooting.
