By Crime Watch MN, Nov. 18, 2022
A woman died and another driver is hospitalized following an overnight fatal crash in Minneapolis early Friday morning.
Crime Watch reported early Friday that responders were on site of a crash on University Avenue Southeast just off the 35W exit. When police arrived, they aired over dispatch that one vehicle was on fire and that one party was unconscious in a vehicle. Information later aired over dispatch by a responder indicated that the crash resulted in a fatality.
The Minneapolis Police Department confirmed in an email Friday morning that an adult female had died in the crash, and the other driver had been taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life threatening. Impaired driving is a possible factor in the crash, police said.
